故事大綱

湄本為富家女，其父因炒金失敗而破產，湄代母在凌家打工養家，認識了少爺宇深(苗僑偉)，因而種下情根。湄由鵑介紹到夜總會工作，受老闆喬老六(曾江)賞識，獲捧為紅歌星。湄與深在夜總會重逢，感情突飛猛進。湄欲嫁給深，惟喬覬覦湄，屢次從中作梗，令二人愛得痛苦......
婷貪慕虛榮，見湄日漸走紅，千方百計接近她，欲成為紅歌星。後婷知悉深表弟周繼業(湯鎮業)為富家子，遂引誘對方追求，望嫁入豪門。婷婚後原形畢露，與業感情疏離。婷欲離開周家重出歌壇之際，竟患上絕症......
鵑因父債台高築，自小被逼賣唱賺錢，更險被父出賣其初夜予江玉麟(李國麟)。鵑厭倦歌女生涯，終下嫁老實可靠的中醫師梁誠(劉兆銘)，共度晚年。
