故事大綱
倪峰(劉青雲)入獄後，因不願拖累張嘉汶(劉嘉玲)而要求離婚。汶內心痛苦，但為了讓峰安心，只好協議分開。張偉杰(梁朝偉)與謝穎之分手後，仍對她念念不忘。杰叔父張竟成(周潤發)由內地來港，投靠張家，與杰成為莫逆。成在內地為醫生，欲考取英聯邦醫生執照以便在港執業，但他因行使偽鈔而留有案底，喪失了考試資格。成最後鋌而走險，偷運水貨。成認識了女友巧楠(戚美珍)，卻又被杰之對頭督察韓彬(任達華)橫刀奪愛。楠之妹巧宜(曾華倩)考入了警校，認識了杰，並結為夫婦。二人婚後磨擦漸多，杰更與宜之好友吳欣發生了一段婚外情。後欣被殺，宜牽涉入內，杰從旁安慰。後事件水落石出，杰、宜更珍惜他倆的關係。杰的事業漸見起色，回顧以往日子，唏噓之餘亦感欣慰。
